We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit The Story Seeds Podcast websites, services, mobile and tablet applications, products, social media sites, and content (“Services”), including The Story Seeds™ Podcast website. It also has information about how we store, use, transfer, and delete that information.

This Privacy Policy will apply whether you are a “Visitor” (which means that you simply browse this website or any of our social media sites), a “Subscriber” (which means you have downloaded our media or one of our Applications). Visitors and Subscribers are individually referred to as a “User” and collectively as “Users”.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not collect personally identifying information from the Sites unless you choose to provide that information to us by signing up to join our email list or The Story Seeds Society.
We may ask you to provide certain personal information when you: (a) register for a contest; (b) sign up for an email list; (c) request information; (d) submit Content that may be used on the Sites; (e) fill out a survey. Required personal information will be identified as such at the time the personal information is requested.
By providing this information, you may receive an occasional email from us. You will be given the option to opt-out of any such listing or have your information removed from a list as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our collection of personal information is intended to follow the principles of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), a U.S. law designed to protect the online privacy of children under the age of 13. Consistent with the requirements of COPPA, on any child-targeted site, or in any instance where we ask for age and determine that the user is under the age of 13, we will ask for a parent’s or guardian’s email address before we collect any personal information from the child.
By submitting personal information through our website, you are agreeing to join our mailing list and/or enroll your child(ren) in The Story Seeds Society, a snail mail club for creative kids ages 6-12; to notify the parents or guardians of kids whose story ideas or writing we have selected to feature on the podcast, our website, or on our social media channels; or to request on-air interviews with kid authors.
Our submission forms are intended only for persons over the age of 13 and any personal information about a child can only be provided by a parent or guardian of that child.
The submission form on our website collects the following information: name, age, address, grade, and story idea.

STORY SEEDS SOCIETY

We use location information internally to better understand where our users and listeners are geographically located and to send any special mailings for The Story Seeds Society.
We always notify parents and receive written permission from them before featuring children’s story ideas or writing or announcing personal information on our podcast. Otherwise, we do not make personal information collected from children publicly available, nor do we share it with 3rd parties without your permission. Parents/guardians can review their child's personal information, ask to have it deleted, and refuse to allow any further collection or use of the child's information at any time. We may use your personal information as follows: to operate, maintain, and improve our sites, products, and services; to respond to comments and questions and provide customer service; to send support and administrative messages; to communicate about promotions, upcoming events, and other news about products and services offered by us and our selected partners; to protect, investigate, and deter against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity; for marketing and promotional purposes.

INFORMATION AUTOMATICALLY GATHERED WHEN YOU VISIT A SITE

Our web servers automatically create log files for each user who accesses our Sites. These “access logs” allow us to enhance the Sites for all users.
